Drama Schools
Stretching children's imagination
Free your imagination with Drama, Dance and Singing
Make-believe is an integral part of growing up, acting and drama can help to channel this creativity. StageCoach Theatre Arts offers students an opportunity to explore and develop young imaginations and boost self confidence.
Unlike other drama schools StageCoach gives equal weight to acting, singing and dancing. Drama plays a key role in our classes and alongside the core skills of singing and dancing our students benefit from a fully rounded education ensuring they have the performance skills for every occasion.
We believe that by experiencing the three key disciplines alongside each other, our students get an invaluable insight into the skills needed in performance.
They learn to understand how they relate and enhance each other in a way they wouldn't necessarily experience at a drama school. Most drama schools tend to focus on one aspect of drama training at a time, this means that it's not always possible for students who are looking to expand their skills across the three key disciplines to see their work in context.
A lot of Drama schools require their students to have had previous stage experience, and hold entrance auditions. At StageCoach there are no entry auditions, all that we require from our new students is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Our teachers are all experts in their chosen fields, and have years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities.
Traditional drama schools tend to work in larger classes, however, at StageCoach classes are limited to a maximum of fifteen students. This in our opinion is the optimum number and ensures an excellent working balance between individual tutoring for each student and the benefits that come from group collaboration.
Drama is a truely fantastic way to build your child's self-confidence. It encourages imagination and allows children to explore their creativity. It empowers students to see what they are capable of creating from their own initiative and with the input of those they're working with. The most rewarding thing about drama is that one idea springs from another, and each person will have a fresh approach to a situation or script. In this collaborative process each person's contribution is invaluable and it is incredibly rewarding for a student to seeing their initial idea grow and evolve into a successful performance or presentation.
