Great news - we have our very own Broadway star!
Isaiah was with StageCoach a couple of years ago before he left to pursue his professional career. It sure paid off...he opens in The Lion King next month! Congratulations Isaiah!
StageCoach caught up with Isaiah (he took time out of his busy schedule to chat with us!) and asked him a few questions about life on Broadway!
StageCoach: What...was your audition process like?
Isaiah: The audition was a lot of waiting. This was the third time I auditioned for Lion King. I showed up at an open call at the Apollo Theater.
StageCoach: How did you hear that you got the part?
Isaiah: The Casting Director called my mom on a Wednesday evening stating I've been casted.
StageCoach: Have you had acting jobs in the past?
Isaiah: Yes, I've done Les Miserables regionally and played an extra several times on TV's FOX and HBO, Louie and Broadwalk Empire.
StageCoach: Had you seen The Lion King before you auditioned?
Isaiah: I saw Lion King when I was about three years old but don't really remember anything.
StageCoach: How will the show affect your schoolwork?
Isaiah: My family and I thought that going to school would be difficult due to my schedule which is why I'm doing school online.
StageCoach: What are you most looking forward to about being in The Lion King?
Isaiah: I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning from the best cast ever!
